Why this exists
Land decisions deserve better evidence.
LandLeaseRates organizes fragmented public records into county-level context while preserving the source trail behind every published figure.
The question
A landowner considering a solar, storage, or wind lease often sees an offer before seeing a reliable local benchmark. Public information exists, but it is scattered across agricultural surveys, project queues, planning records, and individual lease disclosures.
LandLeaseRates brings those records together without pretending that development activity is the same as a signed lease rate. When the public record cannot answer a question, the page says so.
The publishing rule
Every number must be reproducible from a stored source artifact. Observations remain separate from derived metrics, and derived indicators remain clearly labeled. Unknown values never silently become zero.
What the site is not
- It is not an appraisal or a prediction of what a developer will offer.
- It does not borrow a neighboring county’s value to fill a local gap.
- It does not publish ambiguous geography until the county match is resolved.
- It does not treat a modeled range as a reported market observation.
